From responsibility to the ability to respond - an online weekend workshop with Mary Obendorfer and Eddy Marks for intermediate and general level students

We are extremely pleased to welcome back US teachers Mary Obendorfer and Eddy Marks who have taught very popular workshops for us in the past. They have invited students to join them in a hybrid workshop that they will teach live in their centre in San Diego as well as online.

How to develop your practice of yoga poses - from responsibility to the ability to respond.

When we start to practice yoga Asana our first responsibility is to memorise the key points and do them in the right order. This is known as external practice where our efforts flow outward to “do” the pose.

As we start to develop an awareness of our responses to the poses, however, these flow back to the practitioner so, rather than simply 'doing' the poses, it is us that gets “done” by the pose. This inward flow is the beginning of internal practice.

This is an opportunity to learn with teachers that are certified at an advanced level with a wealth of experience and the ability to convey BKS Iyengar’s illuminated teachings with great clarity, insight and positive energy.

The Friday session will be available as a recording from Saturday morning - because of the time difference between London and San Diego the Friday session is too late for us to join from London. The other sessions can be joined live online at the times shown below. Recordings of all the sessions will be available for two weeks after the workshop.

The workshop is best experienced as a complete workshop but it is possible to book all sessions separately.

Weekend workshop £150 for all 5 sessions
